Tony Funkhouser is a Sr. Solution Consultant and leads the Federal Advisory Practice at ServiceNow Federal. He specializes in multiple aspects of IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and is an ITIL v3 Expert, CoBit and Six Sigma certified. He has over 28 years of industry experience in both the DoD, Federal sector and commercial markets. Prior to joining ServiceNow 3 years ago Tony worked for PriceWaterHouse Coopers as a manager in their CIO Advisory practice. Tony has managed teams responsible for the development of many ITAM and ITSM strategies, architected vision, implementation road map and service-oriented transformation plans.
Previously managed an IT Asset Management Assessment and Mobilization project at a large Federal agency customer to assess their current state IT Asset Management capabilities. Developed the initial policies and processes to govern the IT asset lifecycles for hardware and software in order to gain better control of the current assets. Designed the future state ITAM and Configuration Management (aka SACM) technology solution to be integrated into existing ITSM processes and functions. This solution included an approach for automated inventory and dependency mapping discovery functions.
Designed and implemented a comprehensive ITIL-based solution consisting of HP Service Manager 9.2 (all ITIL v3 Modules), uCMDB, DDMa, Asset Manager, DDMi, and Release Control. Auto-discovery (agent-based, agent-less, and passive methods) and dependency mapping functions, CM Planning and CI/relationship modeling for new CMDB structure, as well as helped to identify disparate data source integrations across the enterprise. Assisted in architecting the overall HP Solution and Project Managed the implementation and phased roll out into operations.
